The Silver Lake Institute is throwing wide open its doors when it comes to the Lake-wide communities and the events and services the Institute provides during the summer months of July and August. They have completely relocated all of the Sunday morning Worships to a location where those gathered overlook the Lake located on the corner of Lakeview Ave. and Wesley Ave. on the Greenway in front of "the Big Blue Dock." The services will be ecumenical and non-denominational. The opening service is July 5th at 10:30 am with a rain location at Hoag Memorial across the road. A Hot Dog Fellowship follows this opening of the July-August season. Hoag Memorial will be handicapped accessible by season's opening.
The first Friday night concert of the July-August season features The Old Hippies from 7:30 to 8:30 pm on July 10th. Epworth Hall is being prepared with a new roof, new drainage, expanded electrical service including much more adequate house lighting and stage lighting. More details as the season draws closer. Epworth Hall is handicapped accessible.
