This Thursday will be our first gathering for our "Faith Discussion Group (with Bible 101)." We will be meeting at Rev. Greg's cottage at 6988 (29) Haven Ave., off Perry Ave. (one block south of Genesee Ave.). at 4 pm. 483-8603.
I just wanted to thank you for all the years of work at SLI as Chaplain. I think you’ve done a great job and deserve a lot of gratitude from everyone involved with the Epworth programs. I don’t know why you resigned, and I didn’t ask you on Sunday, but I don’t need to know the details. Doing anything for a long time gets “stale” in the heart after some time.
I am sure you are one of the best chaplains we have ever had. Thank you again!
Hello Jo, Thank you for your kind thoughts and expressions. The decision has left me with mixed feelings and I already sense a loss of my most recent flock. It's time, however, to be a better grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, brother, dad, and friend. In addition, my email "pen pal" from the Philippines arrives in Buffalo this week and Fred is planing to take me up there to pick him up on Saturday. Then on Sunday, after a winter of living the life of a shut-in, I agreed to stand (yikes!) to help distribute Holy Communion. In addition, this Thursday begins our new Faith Discussion Group (and Bible 101) to which I am looking forward. I appreciated your writing.
Dear Greg
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are taking a break and attending to the health of your own body, mind, and spirit. We need you to be well. Blessings.
Bless you, Nancy, for your kind words and thoughts. Looking forward to seeing you when you return here.
