At 8:31 pm Thursday evening, the Finance Committee provided a copy of their developed 2018 Budget for the Silver Lake Institute, based on the information given to them. This provides the SLI community a great opportunity to review the patterns of growth that make up of the current trends in the on-going development and financial health of the Institute. This is a very significant step toward an official policy of transparency. Recognition of this substantial step forward is deserved by this current Finance Committee and Board President Bill Schaefer. Already there is work to be done since at least one committee has a late budget request, and the total Expense item for $3200 under Sunday Worship has now come in as $3725. (Yesterday this figure was erroneously reported as $3,625. Worship's budget request follows the SLI total budget below.) The reason for the increase under Worship is to show actual expenses of what has been previously donated and parts of which may continue to be donated. It should be noted that this is one of the committees that donates its weekly funds to the Institute which are then placed in the General Budget's Operating Funds section to benefit the Institute.SLI Draft (Working, Developing) Budget for 2018
