New SLI Playground Committee Brings SLI Trustees a Proposal for
Burt Park Upgrade and Renewal
The New SLI Playground Committee wasted no time in gathering for meetings and planning to report back to the last Trustee Meeting of 2021 (Oct. 2). They handed out a handsome proposal for Burt Park. Children and families have been seen utilizing the Park more than in previous years and the bug of enthusiasm has bitten the committee's outlook toward the future.
Because members of the Committee all have strong feelings about children's programming, they have chosen to seek the Trustee's guidance in funding the upgrade suggesting multiple sources including SLI support, both inside and outside of the regular SLI budget. It is hoped that the proposal can be seen for its advantages as opposed to simply its costs. The proposal was therefore received quite favorably.
