The 'Roar' of Spring

44 at 10:17 am; 42 at 10:20 am

The "roar" to which I am referring has little to do with the "Lion" that left calendar March feeling more wintry than "spring-y." I am referring to the roar of the leaf collectors and "mulch-ers" that will soon have the grounds looking more greenish than grayish.

Yesterday, Spectrum's cable weather said something about a cold front coming in during the morning hours creating wind and possible drizzle. The wind is here and causing hundreds of leaves to begin a Spring dance while others sprint straight to a new location many yards away. The trees in the Park sway; on Thompson Ave. they dance vigorously.

The Janes Ave. American Flag flutters proudly and colorfully on the Smart Estate diagonally opposite Hamline Ave. (E). There will be a few chilly days but Sunday is actually setting us up for a "warm" designation by the Nat'l Weather Service, even though the sunshine will be interrupted occasionally by high clouds.
