All Silver Lake residents and business owners will now have the option of an online news source beginning December 1, 2016. We have kept the News Blog style because it offers the additional benefit of Reader Responses through the Comment Section which appears right after each article or news item. Readers can view the News Blog at any time and any location in the United States or the world that has broadband internet or smart phone connectability.
The new menu begins with a simple list of organization and business names and related clickable websites for detailed information. This list will expand as the need is made known. There is no paid staff, so news and group events need to be emailed to our office at blog@silverlakeinstitute.org, or sent to POB 19, Silver Lake, NY 14549. Since the POB is checked infrequently, you are also welcome to drop off articles and photographs at 6988 (29) Haven Ave. off Perry Ave. (one block south of Genesee).
Photos should have the identities of all persons in the photo labeled and the activity described. The News Blog is being presented as a lake community service with all news, events, and classified advertising being of no charge. There will be no hard copies made available (none printed on paper). Until further notice, the News Blog may be reached at www.silverlakeinstitute.org.
