Karen A. Cook
Wednesday, January 31st, 1945 - Friday, August 5th, 2022
KAREN A. COOK (nee Kimball) of Hamburg, NY, passed unexpectedly, August 5, 2022. Beloved wife of Robert B. Cook, DDS; loving mother of Allyson Cook and Peter (Selena) Cook; cherished grandma of Averi, Sydney, and Payge Cook; daughter of the late William and Eleanor (nee Lalle) Kimball; also survived by relatives and friends.
Karen was a substitute teacher at Frontier and Hamburg schools, a longtime CCD instructor, Brownie Troop Leader, and volunteer at the Seneca Street Methodist Church after school program. Karen and her family also enjoyed time spent at their family cottage in Silver Lake, NY.
The family will be present on Saturday August 13th from 2-5 pm at the (Hamburg Chapel) John J. Kaczor Funeral Home, Inc., 5453 Southwestern Blvd. (Corner of Rogers Rd.) where a prayer service will begin at 5 pm. I have known Bob Cook since 1985 in several different capacities, including pastor, but most of all as a friend. I enjoyed those occasions when I had the opportunity to share time together with Bob and Karen and always wished it could have been experienced more frequently. I wish to extend my deepest and sincerest condolences at this time of profound loss. May the Spirit of God's healing, hope, and renewal, forever strengthen and undergird you in your private sorrow, in the essential and important times with your family, and in all that God gives you to accomplish.
