Lakeside Worship, Ring of Fire, and Silver Lake Fireworks Display kicks off the 2022 Silver Lake and Perry Seasons
Silver Lakers have waited for nearly ten months for the prime season to return and because of that long wait, these next weeks will move along quickly. The joy of greeting old friends and new neighbors will seem unfairly short before it is necessary to say our seasonal goodbyes.
What's the point of this type of opening paragraph? Time is valuable and time is short. If you have not yet become aware of this year's program schedule, you are already somewhat behind. The regular season's program schedule has been posted for many months.
You already know that the Ring of Fire (9:30 pm Sunday) and Fireworks Display (10:00 pm Sunday) are, at the point of this writing, a little more than 24 hours away. For those who look forward to adding even more of a spiritual dimension to this summer's experience have the lake-wide, lakeside worship experience (10:30 am Sunday) for which to look forward--less than 17 hours from the point of this writing--at SLI's Big Blue Dock.
These kickoff activities are planned as family events for this holiday family weekend and all outdoors at the Lake! Plan to be present but don't blink or it will be over before you know it. Time flies and particularly in the summer for the WNY community. Many travel for many miles just to be here at this special time and special place!
Remember also that this year is the return of the Silver Lake Experience (August 4-6) after several years of avoiding the pandemic. But you must register before the best of workshops, historical portrayals and three nights of great entertainment are over for another 24 months!
