PERRY — A village man was charged Wednesday after an investigation by Perry police and Wyoming County Child Protective Services. Matthew P. Sapetko, age unavailable, hit a 4-year-old child, causing a bruise which covered most of the victim’s left cheek, police said. He also allegedly admitted striking the child in the face. Sapetko was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on his own recognizance and is to appear Aug. 2 in Village Court.
STAFFORD — A village woman was charged Wednesday after violating an order of protection, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said. Tonja M. Stephens, 54, of Prole Road was charged with violating a court order.
LE ROY — Jarrod K. Fotiathis was charged Monday with felony third-degree criminal mischief, Le Roy police said. Fotiathis, 27, of Lake Street in Le Roy damaged a door and frame when he kicked it in, police said. He is to appear July 21 in Town Court.
