UPDATE: 230 at Concert includes Porches, Boat Audience:
The Perry Community Band Opens the Concert Series for Silver Lake Institute 
at their Big Blue Dock Friday Evening


The Opening Night audience extended left and right of the above Silver Lake Newsletter-created photo extracted from a much more in-depth sound video taken by Loren Penman. 

Of the 230 present, most were on the Greenway in front of the Blue Dock, others were on front porches and front lawns, and two boats with passengers floated as they listened to the concert. Calls for the Band's return next year have already been received by the SLI Program Committee.

The musical program included The Stormchasers, Caravan, Solomente Una Vez, Blue Moon with Geneseo vocalist Chandra Downs, It Had Better Be Tonight, Thriller, Pop and Rock Legends: Chicago, Flight of the Piasa, and Peacemaker March.

The Band consists of 10 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 7 Clarinets, 1 Alto Clarinet, 1 Bass Clarinet, 4 Alto Saxophones, 1 Tenor Saxophone, 1 Baritone Saxophone, 7 Trumpets, 5 French Horns, 4 Trombones, 3 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas, 1 Electric Bass, and 5 Percussionists.

The Music Director/Conductor is Raymond Suriani.
