Who were those lantern people?
The "lantern people"—difficult to capture in photos during the twilight hours—were Silver Lake Institute residents who had volunteered to do a trial run of the Meditation Walk planned as one of the workshops at this week's Silver Lake Experience, Thursday through Saturday. The walk was re-designed from the original, but more challenging, Asbury Retreat Center Nature Trail and the Fairy House Competition, to the smoother and safer streets of the Institute. The new concept is to consider the qualities of mercy and kindness and think about the ways we could enhance our life together as Silver Lakers (or wherever walkers live) through acts of kindness as a lifestyle. Further, how we might extend those acts of kindness beyond our local communities.
