Woman wanted for armed robbery Tasered and arrested in Batavia
A Genesee County woman wanted for a series of crimes, including armed robbery, was arrested and jailed after a traffic stop and foot chase that ended in a Taser being deployed, city police said.
Jennifer L. Sprague-Clark, 39, was stopped Wednesday. She ran from the car and had to be Tasered before being taken into custody.
Sprague-Clark was wanted for an armed robbery committed on June 1 and a burglary committed June 4. Both happened at a State Street residence, police said.
No other details were provided.
Sprague-Clark was charged with first-degree armed robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree grand larceny, coercion and menacing for the June 1 incident.
She was charged with second-degree burglary and grand larceny for the June 4 burglary and with obstruction of governmental adminis-tration for running from the police.
Sprague was arraigned and committed to jail with bail set at $25,000.
