Silver Lake East Shore:
3 second power failure at 7:44a Friday

It hardly matters what the length of a power failure is when it comes to the automatic resetting of the cable TV box. It may have been a 3 second power glitch, but it took all of eight (8) minutes for the cable box to reset. Later this hour, the timer part of the clock on the stove will buzz because power failures of even a nano-second cause it to cast this warning that the stove clock program has returned the clock to 12:00 when the power glitched.
