Major General Ray Shields has announced a series of promotions for area New York Army National Guard members. The promotions are in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership, he said.
Those promoted include:
- Hunter Albright of Elba, assigned to the Forward Support Company, 204th Engineer Battalion, was promoted to sergeant on April 1.
- Andrew Cary of Holley, assigned to the Company B, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, was promoted to 1st lieutenant on April 15.
- Harry Lambright of Akron, assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery Regiment, was promoted to sergeant 1st class on March 25.
- Adam Moran of Delevan, assigned to the Troop B, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry Regiment, was promoted to specialist on April 29.
- Jeremiah Prine of Le Roy, assigned to the Headquarters and Support Company, 642nd Aviation Support Battalion, was promoted to sergeant 1st class on March 4.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential. The promo-tions additionally recognize the best qualified soldiers and attract and retain the highest caliber citizen soldiers for a career in the New York Army National Guard.
