One flown to ECMC after Elba crash

A man was flown to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo with non-life-threatening injuries after the pickup truck he was driving and the camper it was towing were involved in an accident, a Genesee County sheriff’s deputy said at the scene.
Deputy Travis DeMuth said the truck and camper were headed west on Lockport Road when the 58-year-old driver claimed he swerved to avoid an animal. The truck struck a tree. The camper also struck a tree and became detached from the truck, he said. The camper was in pieces, with debris across the road. The base of the camper was off the road.
