Severe thunderstorm watch in effect through tonight in GLOW region
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued until 10 p.m. tonight for all of Western New York.
Thunderstorms may produce strong to damaging winds this afternoon through early evening, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
Heavy rain and localized flooding are also possible.
The watch area includes Genesee, Orleans, Wyoming and Livingston counties.
Update: Areas around the Lake were affected by a few big drops of rain and plenty of thunder and afternoon cloudiness. No other experiences of today's weather were made known to us.
