Starbucks will be one of the tenants in the development to come in the parking lot of the vacant Kmart building at Lewiston and Park roads, property owner Benderson Development, LLC, said this morning.
Eric Recoon, vice president, development and leasing for Benderson Development, told The Daily News, “We are thrilled to be bringing Starbucks to Batavia. Aside from Starbucks, we’re currently working closely with three other tenants to fill the building.”
Recoon said he would share more details when the leases are signed.
The development in the parking lot of the empty Kmart, 8363 Lewiston Rd., will cover 10,752 square feet for two buildings. One is a 4,000-square-foot structure on the northwest corner of the parking lot. It will house a single restaurant with a drive-thru. The other building, 6,752 square feet, in the south part of the lot, will be a multi-tenant building, with space for a restaurant and coffee shop, and will also have a drive-thru, project planners have told the town.
