Silver Lake woman pleads guilty
Jordan L. McMurtry, 35, pleaded guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance, a class C felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and felony driving while high on drugs.
McMurtry was stopped in Silver Springs in January, just two weeks after she was indicted on felony drugged-driving charges.
Police said she was high on drugs again and possessed meth and drug paraphernalia.
A search of her phone revealed that McMurtry had taken obscene photographs of a child.
That led to a multi-count indictment against McMurtry in March, 19 counts: five counts of using a child in a sexual performance, five counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, aggravated unlicensed operation, two counts of felony driving while impaired by drugs, two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, license plate not affixed and unauthorized stickers.
McMurtry has an extensive criminal history.
She has been arrested and charged with driving while high on drugs three times since 2014. She served a state prison term for a 2019 conviction for manufacturing meth and has been arrested numerous times for shoplifting and misdemeanor drug possession.
The 2019 meth conviction came after she and three others were charged with manufacturing meth in a stairwell and balcony in two residences in the village of Warsaw.
Sentencing for her latest conviction is set for July 11.
