Perry Resident Slapped with Misdemeanor Charge:
Perry man enters home and passes out in chair, charged with criminal trespass

On March 17, 2022, at 11:57 pm, Officers were dispatched to an address in the Village of Perry for the report of a male passed out inside the alleged victim’s house.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a male completely unknown to the residents, later identified as 47-year-old Gregory Watts of Perry, entered the residence without permission and remained there unlawfully, sitting in a chair in the resident’s family room.

The investigation led officers to believe the male subject was allegedly highly intoxicated. Watts was escorted out of the home without incident and charged with criminal trespass 3rd degree and processed at the Perry Police Department. As per NYS Bail Reform Laws, Watts was released and issued an appearance ticket for Perry Village Court on April 12, 2022, at 1:00 pm to answer the charge.
