Taken to WCCH for Evaluation--then to Wyoming County Jail:

Man allegedly was stripping off clothing, injured deputy in Letchworth State Park incident

A Silver Springs man is facing a felony charges after he allegedly injured a Wyoming County sheriff’s deputy during a struggle. Deputies were requested at 10:37 p.m. Sunday to assist state Park Police for a report of a unknown male stripping off his clothes and trying to break into a residence.

Deputies and officers arrived on the scene to find Tanner Salamone. A struggle allegedly ensued as deputies approached and one was injured.

Salamone, 29, was taken to a hospital for evaluation after being taken into custody. He was later released and committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail. He’s charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Salamone is to appear April 13 in Genesee Falls Town Court. The injured deputy was treated at Wyoming County Community Hospital and released. State police and Warsaw village police also assisted during the incident.
