Route 63 reopened after tractor trailer uprighted from its side
State Route 63 in the town of York reopened about 5 p.m. Friday after emergency crews removed a tractor trailer that had gone off the road and landed on its side.
The accident had originally occurred about 12:30 p.m. Thursday when Sheriff’s deputies and emergency personnel responded to a report of a car-tractor trailer motor vehicle crash on Route 63 just north of Chandler Road in the town of York. No injuries were reported from the crash, which the Sheriff’s Office described as weather-related.
The truck remained in the field overnight until a tow truck could be dispatched to bring the tractor-trailer back onto the road.
The road was closed for a time Friday between Flats Road and Chandler Road in the Town of York as crews work to remove a tractor trailer that had gone off the road, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were on scene for hours assisting with traffic control. Traffic was down to one lane Thursday, with the southbound lane closed, and the traffic interruption was expected to extend into the early afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office said.
