Trailer sustains moderate smoke, fire damage in Arcade structure fire
Approximately $10,000 in damages resulted from a structure fire on Parkview Drive in Arcade on the evening of Tuesday, February 8, according to the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services. The trailer sustained moderate smoke and fire damage.
On scene for about two hours after arriving at around 7:40 p.m., Arcade Assistant Fire Chief Josh Graham and the Arcade Fire Department were assisted by members of the North Java, Strykersville, Sheldon, Chaffee-Sardinia, and Yorkshire fire com-panies. The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Arcade Police Department, Arcade Electric, and Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services also assisted with the fire.
The Bliss, Varysburg and Wales Center fire departments were on standby. Ashley Carnes is listed as the property owner, according to Emergency Services, and was assisted by friends. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
