Tractor-trailer destroyed in fiery crash on Route 63 east of Batavia

Area fire departments are at the scene of a fiery collision between a tractor-trailer and garbage truck on Route 63 near Bethany Center Road. A thick column of smoke was visible from the city of Batavia shortly after the accident occurred after about 3:30 p.m. The tractor-trailer driver was taken to UMMC for evaluation.
