8:00 am View of Central area of Silver Lake:
Last of open water freezing, giving evidence of overnight dusting of snow
As the temperature dropped to 18° by 8 am this morning, the SLI plow cleared the coating of snow that accumulated Wednesday evening and overnight into Thursday. The later snow flurries can be differentiated from the earlier ones at the shoreline by the degree of whiteness between them in this picturesque mosaic of the Lake, courtesy of SLI Live Cam.

Even before 8:30 am, the temperature has dropped a full degree down to 17° as we see the southern portion of the frozen Lake and its fresh dusting of snow, above, courtesy of Silver Lake Marine Weather Station.
