LETCHWORTH STATE PARK POLICE will conduct a snowmobile safety course on Dec. 4. The course will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Letchworth State Park’s Humphrey Nature Center. The course is aimed for young people 10 to 18 years old. Students should bring a bag lunch for the courses.
New York State law requires that all youth ages 10 to 18 have a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile alone anywhere other than on family owned or leased land. Youth who complete the training and pass the exam will receive their certification.
Pre-registration is required. Call state Park Police at (585) 658-4692 to register for the course. Space will be limited so it’s recommended people call early.
