  • Blue settles in as Wyoming County highway super-intendent  ROCK GLEN With a vested interest in road and bridge maintenance, Devin Blue of Warsaw officially settled into his new position as Wyoming County Highway Department superintendent as of late August. Earning a bachelor of science in engineering from Buffalo State College, Blue worked as an engineer for Alstom in Hornell for the past five years. Blue has always wanted to work in this industry. “This is a position that was always a goal for me because I take pride in making continuous improvements for my community,” he said.

  • "Sesame Street" debuts Ji-Young, its first Asian American muppet — CBS News — What's in a name? Well, for Ji-Young, the newest muppet resident of "Sesame Street," her name is a sign she was meant to live there. "So, in Korean traditionally the two syllables they each mean something different and Ji means, like, smart or wise. And Young means, like, brave or courageous and strong," Ji-Young explained during a recent interview. "But we were looking it up and guess what? Ji also means sesame."

  • Request for Proposals (RFP) for Clean Heating and Cooling Technology  Project Overview — The Village of Perry is seeking to implement clean heating and cooling technology in the Village Hall located at 46 North Main Street Perry, NY 14530. The goal of the project is to conserve energy and reduce energy costs. The Village is seeking to install air-source or ground-source heat pumps, or a solar hot water system.
