Perry seniors lead Yellowjackets
past Hornell


Perry seniors celebrated their big night with the sweep over visiting Hornell Thursday and improve to 8-6 overall on the season. Perry defeated Hornell by scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 27-25. “We had strong performances from all six senior players in the first set that helped us to the win,” Perry head coach Karin Rice said.

Senior captain Lea White recorded 7 service points with 7 dogs, 3 kills and 2 aces while classmate Hailey Evans handed out 4 kills, 3 aces, and 1 block to lead Perry. Evans also served the gaming winning ace in the final set to close out the victory.

For Hornell, Liza Flaitz and 3 aces while Cameran Amphlett had 2 blocks and 1 kill.

Congratulations to the Perry seniors including Lydia Conaway, Leah Fisher, Madison Davy, Hailey Evans, Lea White and Jayden McClurg. Perry plays Saturday at Keshequa.
