Keep The Reports Coming:
The Leaves of Fall 2021 are lingering around longer than usual still on trees
Silver Lake has a few beautiful yellows still hanging, but for the most part, the trees have remained green. Another Silver Laker back home in Pennsylvania reports the same is true of that area. It must be the continued mild days and frostless nights that are keeping them that way. Never fear, cooler temperatures are on tap for later this week, although we still remain without frost warnings.
The obvious exception to this green phenomenon are some of the trees located right at the Silver Lake shorelines. Winds may be a factor.
The contrast is stark when compared to last fall when leaves began falling in late August and early September. With this in mind, one wonders what the Winter of 2021-22 holds for us.
