Even One Man Short:
Trilogy knows its audience just like
its predecessor, Kelly's Old Timers
There's a warm familiarity about the style and music of the Trilogy band, part of which is enhanced by their tremendous ability to roll with the punches and their knowledge of familiar music makes that punch rolling immensely entertaining.
Last night's Friday concert demonstrated Guy Macaluso's punch rolling abilities as he not only did his own leadership part, but also totally filled in for Eric Kelly who was busy with end of life details for his mother, Lois, who died just a few hours before the start of the concert. Her death was brought on by a massive stroke on Thursday.
Walkers stopped to listen and some remained. There were concert goers who arrived by motor boat and pontoon boat bobbing with the wakes to the beat of the music, and many with their comfortable lawn chairs. Street dancers added a flair of celebration to the night. Next year will again be outside and the time will begin a half hour earlier (7:00) to make better use of the daylight. 130 adults and children were present for last night's concert whose final scene was before a beautiful post-sunset.

A voice calls out from the audience, "Let's hear some Jimmy Buffet!" Within a few musical seconds, we're surrounded by the sounds of Margaritaville!
Another person in the audience wants to hear "Sweet Caroline" and they are immediately treated to this Neil Diamond hit!
