3 injured in 3-vehicle Sheldon accident
SHELDON — Three people were injured July 9 in a three-vehicle collision at routes 20A and 77, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said. Isaac J. Thomas was southbound on Route 77 when he stopped at the intersection, said Sgt. Colin Reagan. He then proceeded into the path of a westbound pickup truck.
Thomas’ jeep collided with the pickup, which was sent into the front of a 2021 Peterbilt feed truck which was stopped on Route 20A, waiting to turn left. Three people from the vehicles were treated for non-life threatening injuries at Wyoming County Community Hospital. Thomas, age and address unavailable, was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
DMR Towing removed the vehicles from the scene. Assisting at the scene were state police, county Emergency Management personnel, Monroe ambulance, and Strykersville, North Java and Cowlesville firefighters.
