Fireworks Show at 10 pm:
Independence Day's Holiday Weekend Just One Week Away

Saturday morning, July 3rd, from 10:30 am to Noon, you are invited to hear a few of our dynamic leaders at the Institute talking about what they do for our community and what keeps them so excited about their volunteer jobs. Come to hear "Getting to Know Our Institute" taking place at the Burt Park Gazebo (bring your own chair) with a rain location of Stoody Hall, one block north of the Gazebo. Sharon Pratt will be your host and she will be accompanied by other guests.
Know what's happening and where -- bring your own chair to hear the information you want to know.

Among those guests will be Jill Knitter, the Tract Director for the Silver Lake Institute. She is our representative to the Silver Lake Association. She will have flares for sale for the Ring of Fire later that evening and will also have Silver Lake Association memberships for sale for which you receive a full color photo directory with all Silver Lake residents listed.

Saturday evening, July 3rd, the Ring of Fire will begin with red flares lit around dark along the Silver Lake shorelines. (Flares are available from your local SLA Tract Director.)

Following the full blown Ring of Fire July 3, there will be time for private boats to travel over to the buoys which rope off the fireworks landing zone. When the boats are safely positioned the Annual Fireworks Show is scheduled to begin at 10 pm.

Sunday, July 4th at 10:30 am, the Spiritual Life Team of the Silver Lake Institute will provide the first of the lake-wide, summertime worship services held at the Blue Dock on Lakeview Ave. at the foot of Wesley Ave., diagonally across from Hoag Gallery. Guests and visitors are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets.
