18 Months to 3 Years:
Man who repeatedly abused woman sentenced to state prison
A Perry man with repeated arrests for domestic violence, including charges that came a month after his release from jail, was sentenced last week to state prison. Gary E. Lockwood, 51, was sentenced June 3 in Wyoming County Court to 18 months to three years in prison by Judge Michael Mohun.
Lockwood in April pleaded guilty to aggravated family offense in satisfaction of numerous charges against him. He was released from jail in August after serving time for repeatedly violating court orders of protection. A month later Lockwood “made multiple contacts” with the woman who had a court order of protection against Lockwood.
Lockwood was arrested several times earlier in the year on domestic violence charges, resulting in a jail sentence. He has an extensive criminal history, including one term in state prison for multiple DWI arrests.
