Sex offender gets 10 years for possessing child porn
A Mumford man on parole for raping a child was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court to 10 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography. Justin Rosenzweig, 33, had been convicted of posses-sing child pornography that involved a prepubescent minor.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan McGuire said a state parole officer found an Apple iPod that contained 290 images and one video of child pornography. That happened on April 26, 2019.
Rosenzweig was convicted in Livingston County Court in 2010 of first-degree criminal sexual act, a class B violent felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison. Rosenzweig sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy. He was sentenced to five years and is on parole until June 2024. He is a Level 3 offender on New York State Sex Offender Registry.
