Six-year-old Batavia girl flown to Strong Hospital after being run over
A child who was run over by a vehicle this afternoon was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, city police said at the scene, 117 Otis St. Police said it was reported that the incident, involving a pickup truck driven by a man at the address, happened in a side yard at the residence. The 6-year-old girl suffered serious injuries, police said.
The girl was conscious while at the scene, police said. The incident was called in at 3:51 p.m. Police, city firefighters and Mercy EMS responded. The incident is under investigation. More information will be released later, police said at the scene.
