Dinosaur safari grand opening ribbon cutting Friday at NY State Fairgrounds

Geddes, N.Y. — A brand new Dino Safari is opening up at the New York State Fairgrounds on Friday. The safari will feature 40 full-size animatronic dinosaurs and you are able to enjoy it from the safety of your vehicle. The drive-thru is expected to last 60-minutes and will include audio narration. The safari will take viewers to "Pangea National Park" for an up-close personal journey with the prehistoric animals.

On Friday, Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, Fair Director Troy Waffner, and the baby dinosaur will cut the ribbon signifying the start of the Dino Safari. The ribbon ceremony is set for 12:30 p.m. Friday on the Orange Lot at the New York State Fairgrounds. Tickets are priced per car starting at $49.95 per vehicle of up to seven people. You can purchase tickets here. Demand has been high and they are encouraging everyone to purchase in advance.

The event will run from Friday, May 14th through May 31st.
