Back Home with Family:
Cole Geise found safe; now reunited

Olean Police say a young man with autism who was missing for almost two weeks is now back with his family. Late Saturday night, Olean Police posted on Facebook that an alert citizen spotted Cole Geise and contacted police. A few minutes later, the department posted a picture showing him with his family.
Geise's family says he never returned home after going for a walk in Olean on May 2nd. Saturday night he was spotted in Olean. "He was found by a couple of workers. He stopped somewhere to go to the bathroom," said Cole's father, Steve Geise. His family was at home, taking a break from yet another day of searching.

"The Olean Police Department came to the door. It was someone that we knew personally and we didn't know if that was good news or bad news when they showed up. There was good news and it's a feeling that you don't forget," said Steve Geise. The Geise family thanked the Olean community for their help locating their son.
