The Bite that Drew Blood:
Woman charged with third-degree assault after domestic incident in Castile parking lot upsets community

A Village of Castile woman was charged March 21 after a domestic incident in a parking lot, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.

Jessalyn K. Pitts, 29, pulled into the lot, went to the rear passenger door, and tried to remove a person from her vehicle, said Deputy Austin Harding. The victim allegedly suffered scratches to the neck and a bite mark to the lower abdomen that was bleeding.

Pitts was charged with third-degree assault, deputies said. She is to appear in Town Court at a later date.
