first degree rape, forcible compulsion
BATAVIA — A city man has been arrested and charged with forcibly raping a child, Batavia police said. Hezekiah Burch, 19, was arrested after a Batavia police investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted a child under 15 years old.
Burch was charged with two counts of first-degree rape with forcible compulsion, first-degree sexual abuse with forcible compulsion and attempted first-degree sexual abuse. The charges stem from separate crimes during a one-month time span. Burch was arraigned in Batavia City Court and committed to Genesee County Jail with bail set at $40,000.
