LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING FOR WYOMING extended into Monroe -- A lake effect snow warning in effect until 10 p.m. for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and southern Erie counties. The National Weather Service says additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches were expected in the most persistent lake snows. Silver Lake in Wyoming is not in one of those persistent snow areas and did not receive snow.

POLICE RE-INTRODUCE WYOMING COUNTY MISSING PERSONS CASE NEARLY 42 YEARS LATER -- New York State Police are asking for your help solving a 41-year-old missing person's case out of Wyoming County. Troopers say on Dec. 21, 1979, the grandmother of James Dean Knox reported him missing, she last saw him at her home in South Warsaw on Dec.9.

Police say Knox had been seen by friends, associates, and local business people in the village of Warsaw on Dec.10 and 11, before his sudden disappearance. At the time of his disappearance, Knox was 24 years old. He lived at 35 Wyoming Street in Warsaw, and was on medical leave from LeRoy Machine Company in LeRoy. He's described as five foot 11, 150 pounds, dark blonde hair, blue eyes, and wears eyeglasses. Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at 585-344-6200.
