Veteran climber rescues parachutist stuck in tree -- It's a bird, it's a plane, it's .... Melissa Allport perched 65 feet in the air between branches in a Town of Barre oak tree and in need of help on New Year's Day. Allport is a member of WNY Skydiving based at Pine Hill Airport and was participating in the group’s annual New Year’s Day jump. She was assisted down by a local tree service. 

Get those Receipts in! -- The Wyoming County Chamber and Tourism office is reminding shoppers to turn in their holiday shopping receipts to be entered into the "Shop Wyoming and Win" contest. Receipts must be from purchases made in Wyoming County between "Black Friday," Nov. 27, 2020, and Christmas Eve. They must be submitted or postmarked to the Wyoming County Chamber by 5 pm Friday.
