Weather Alert -- Winter Weather Advisory issued December 31 at 1:56PM EST until January 02 at 12:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM FRIDAY TO MIDNIGHT EST FRIDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT... Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of around one tenth to one quarter of of an inch, except west of the Chautauqua Ridge and near Lake Erie, where only a trace is expected.
* WHERE... Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, and Southern Erie counties.
* ..WHEN... From 2 PM Friday to midnight EST Friday night.
* .IMPACTS... NYSE&G has issued an alert for possible power failures due to ice. Their trucks are on standby. Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
