SLI Garbage Pickup for 2021 Moves to Mondays, Helps 'Weekenders'
Early last Fall the SLI Trustees agendized a vote on whether to keep garbage pickup on Tuesdays or move it to Mondays. They decided to move it to Mondays beginning January 2021. The conversations about the potential move became more frequent in the last several years. Those who spend just weekends at Silver Lake and then must return on Sunday to their places of work for Monday morning always had to leave their garbage out from Sunday to Tuesday exposing it to many hours of vandalism by crows and raccoons which were fully capable of creating messy disasters. Here's to a "new beginning" in 2021!
