The temperature was right under the freezing point at 6:30 am this morning when I decided to spread the shears and take in the newly barren surroundings (leafless trees). Low and behold, I also observed another sign that "winter" was on my doorstep. This was my first observance of the season of my neighbor's wood-burner starting up. Sorry about the blurriness, my hands were fresh from sleep and not yet steady as I grabbed for my camera and managed this shot on the third try. I wish I could say it was done with a filter, but low, it was not.
