News Briefs Around the Village

PUBLIC LIBRARY AT PERRY -- The first meeting of the Library Trustees took place on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 and was the first time that the meeting was convened there since March 16, 2020. Meetings had been held by Zoom and other locations because of the reconstruction work and Covid-19 restrictions. Be sure to check out the new red brick memorial walkway but patrons are asked to use the ADA ramp until the stairs open to the public on December 1, 2020. Returned items should not be brought into the building but returned by way of the outdoor book drop in the parking lot or the return drop on the porch.

FORMER EYE CENTER NOW MEDICAL OFFICE -- The new Wyoming County Family Medicine--Perry Office is now located in the former University Eye Center on Parker Lane facing Rt. 246. The medical center is associated with the Wyoming County Community Hospital with Dr. Tracy Fabian, Dr. Sydney Domanowski, and Dr. Elizabeth Kermis, OB/GYN physician. Law enforcement agencies in Wyoming County awill team up to collect new, unwrapped toys and clothes for all ages and for families in need this holiday season. Givers may purchase items at Walmart or bring items from another store. Perry, Attica, Warsaw, and Arcade Police departments, Wyoming County Sheriff's Office, and New York State Police Troop A barracks in Warsaw will each have a cruiser present and hope to fill each one. The officers will work with Wyoming County Community Action to see that all gifts go to deserving local homes in the county.

UR MEDICINE PRIMARY CARE--PERRY located at 3 Handley St. at Gardeau has expanded into the abandoned space left by Step by Step Physical Therapy. We believe that leaves two doctors, and one nurse practitioner for UofR Medicine. On the other side of the building there is one Podiatrist who visits on Thursdays and a Dentist who also remains, although things change rapidly. Let us know of anything that needs correcting or updating.
