Puppeteer Tarish "Jeghetto" Pipkins' world-premiere puppet film confronting haunting truths about our country's past, present, and future opens tonight with NYSPF @ Home. Framed as one man's eulogy to his lost childhood friend, the film unfolds as a series of touching memories that refuse to be ignored or misremembered. Jeghetto creates a space where contemporary audiences can reflect, bear witness, and engage in radical honesty. The film will be followed by a Q&A between Jeghetto and the audience. Appropriate for ages 10+. NYSPF@Home is a series of brand-new, short, puppetry works made for an online, on-screen audience, featuring nationally and internationally recognized puppet artists, and you!
You can also listen to Jeghetto on the latest episode of The Puppet Pod!, our podcast about the world of contemporary puppetry for adults, here!
Showtimes: Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 @ 7 PM.
