Loren Penman

To my friends and family,

I hope you are well as we near the end of October. It has been a year like none other, and we all could use a reason to celebrate.

I am sure you know that I am an avid supporter of The Autism Nature Trail (The ANT) at Letchworth State Park. This project has been years in the making, but I have exciting news to share: The Trail finally has been confirmed to start construction soon! The ANT Team has raised a whopping $3 million to make this dream a reality; however, the dedicated volunteers now want to raise an additional $700,000 to ensure programming into the future that equals the excellence of the Trail itself.

With holiday shopping around the corner, we are offering The ANT Experience, a virtual silent auction running from 12 noon Friday, October 23rd through 11:59 PM Thursday, October 29th.  This is a great opportunity to bid on and purchase out-of-the-ordinary items and experiences while supporting a truly wonderful project.

To register for the auction, click here.

Registering does not commit you to bidding or buying — but, with over 40 items, there truly is something for everyone:  artisan creations, collectibles, unique experiences and getaways. You can own a piece of history with a 3 foot sculpture made from a piece of the 1875 Portage Bridge that spanned the Genesee River at Letchworth for almost 150 years. If you loved the TV show "Criminal Minds," you will love the autographed, highly collectible items from actor Joe Mantegna (who is The ANT's honorary chair). You could be the winner of a virtual songwriting lesson with music royalty Natalia Zukerman. Or bid on a 3 night stay in a private (never before offered) 2 bedroom guest cottage on Silver Lake in western New York State. Every dollar raised goes directly to the Trail since Wegmans generously stepped up as sole sponsor of the event and has covered all the expenses related to this auction. If you are unable to participate but would like to show your support, you can donate here.

This pandemic has demonstrated the very human need for outdoor recreation, and The ANT provides that opportunity for everyone. I sincerely hope you will join me in the auction to support the project.

Please forward this email to your contacts to help spread the word.  Thank you!

Loren
