Last SLI Full Board Trustee Meeting of the Year Took Place this Morning at 10

Traditionally, October is the month that the SLI Finance Committee brings the proposed budget for the next calendar year to the Board of Trustees for approval. The proposed budget was not made available to the SLI official website nor to the SLDNewsletter for the residents to view on their SLI residential pages. Since the coronavirus rules prevents residents from being present at the meeting, we can see where distribution of the 2021 proposed budget might possibly not be the priority it has been in past years, or even just an oversight. The proposed SLI Handbook, however, can now be viewed on the SLI official website by going to https://silverlakeinstitute.org, then click on "About" and click on SLI Documents.

UPDATE 6:10 PM -- 

• The proposed 2021 Budget for the Silver Lake Institute has been approved for 2021. It continues to address needs in road paving and such will be determined in early Spring of 2021 with particular attention to the sections of Janes Avenue which are already noted as being "in need."

• The most significant of all the Board's actions this morning would have to be the garbage pickup day being moved--at the beginning of next year--from Tuesdays to Mondays, effective January 1, 2021. No word yet on any changes in the garbage sticker sales days or hours.
