Erie County Man killed in Wyoming County Motorcycle Crash

A man from Erie County was killed in a crash in Wyoming County Friday evening, according to Wyoming County Sheriff's deputies. Deputies said they were called around 6:30 p.m. to Route 78 in the town of Java for a reported motorcycle crash.

When deputies arrived, they found 67-year-old Eric Reinhart had gone off the road and hit a culvert with his motorcycle, which threw him from the bike. Reinhart, who was from the town of Holland, was taken by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center; he later died there.

It remains unclear what caused Reinhart to go off the road. Members of the North Java Fire Department and Mercy Flight helped deputies on the scene.                              Courtesy of WHAM.
