TODAY (MONDAY) -- Lake water level expected to drop considerably due to the anticipated removal of the temporary coffer dam. Boats should probably be removed to avoid trouble at removing them during low water level.
THURSDAY -- Asbury Take-Out Meal is Chicken or Veggie Parmesan with Spaghetti, Bread, Mixed Veggies, and Apple Crisp. Call to order at 237-5262. Pick up is between 4 and 6 pm.
SATURDAY -- Hazardous Waste Collection from 9 am to 1 pm in Mt. Morris. Call 344-2580 x5463 or 800-836-1154 for necessary appointment.
SATURDAY -- Pieces of Perry 6th Annual En Plein Air Festival, 9 am to 2 pm. (Art created by views of Silver Lake, Lake Cottages, and Historic Buildings.) Artist Picnic Social 3-5 pm at the Public Beach Pavilion.
SATURDAY -- Shake on the Lake presents the Sea Serpent Puppet Parade (a socially distant event) Sept. 19 at 3 pm during the En Plein Air Festival. Note: Moved to Asbury Retreat Center.
SUNDAY -- Possible Spontaneous Worship or Devotional service at the Big Blue Dock at 10:30 am if people come out for it. (No definite word at this point.)
SUNDAY -- Worship Service at Perry First UMC, 35 Covington, one block east of Main St. in Perry at 11:00 am. Silver Lake residents, Joanne Brocklehurst at the Pipe Organ and Greg Franklin at the Hardman Smaller Grand Piano. (Wear masks while walking around; they can be removed while in the Service if you desire. We are socially distanced during the Service.)
