Wyoming County's third day with
no active COVID-19 cases as new positives reported elsewhere

WYOMING COUNTY marked its third consecutive day with no active COVID-19 cases while new positives were reported elsewhere. Wyoming County again reported no active cases as of Thursday. The county’s overall total remained at 89, with the number of recoveries at 84, and five deaths. But 25 people remained in mandatory quarantine.
WYOMING COUNTY'S CURRENT STATISTICS INCLUDE:
■ A total of 31 cases have been confirmed in the northwest quadrant that includes Attica, Bennington, Orangeville and Sheldon. Two have been attributed to Attica Correctional Facility and all 31 have recovered.
■ Twenty-five cases have been confirmed in the northeast quadrant that includes Warsaw, Perry, Middlebury and Covington. Twenty of those have recovered and five have died.
■ Fifteen cases have been confirmed in the southeast quadrant that includes Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls and Pike. All 15 have recovered.
■ Eighteen cases have been confirmed in the southwest that includes Arcade, Eagle, Java and Wethersfield. All 18 have recovered.
The age breakdown of positive COVID-19 cases included 20 people in their 20s; 16 people in their 40s; 15 people in their 60s; 14 people in their 50s; nine people in their 70s; eight people in their 30s; three people in their 80s; two people less than 20 years old; and two people in their 90s. The county has had 5,634 negative test results.


GENESEE AND ORLEANS COUNTIES reported two new cases as of 2 p.m. Thursday. Genesee has one new positive case, bringing its overall total to 225. The new positive is a resident of Oakfield in their 20s who was in mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive. To date, Genesee County has had 9,463 negative tests. The community has five people under mandatory isolation; 41 people in the community under mandatory quarantine; five total deaths and 161 community recoveries.
ORLEANS COUNTY has one new positive case for an overall total of 267. The new positive is a resident of Clarendon in their 50s who was not under mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive. Seven of the total active cases are hospitalized. Orchard Manor has had 58 cases and 23 deaths, for a mortality rate of 39.65 percent. The Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center in Albion has had 89 cases and 30 deaths, for a mortality rate of 33.7 percent. To date, Orleans County has had 5,063 negative tests. The community has two person under mandatory isolation; 15 people in the community under mandatory quarantine; 54 total deaths; and 112 community recoveries.
LIVINGSTON COUNTY reported no new COVID-19 cases as of Thursday. The county’s overall total remained at 128. It had four active cases along with a total of 116 recoveries. An overall total of 8,855 people have tested negative for coronavirus.
